This week saw our Central Queensland Capras teams hit the road for a trip to Brisbane to take on the Norths Devils at Bishop Park. This would be the first of two trips away other the next couple of weeks. This coming weekend all three of our teams will head back down to Brisbane, this time to Totally Workwear stadium to take on the Brisbane Tigers.
Saturday evening kicked off with our Mal Meninga Cup Capras looking to bounce back after some tough conditions in their last match up. Seth Carpenter got things rolling early with a try in the 8th minute. Iziah Broome would earn himself a late 4-pointer in the 69th minute.

Coming off the back of a win over the Burleigh Bears the week prior, our BMD Premiership would head to Brisbane to take on 3rd placed Norths Devils. Emma Paki would get our Capras on the board shortly after the Devils first try in the 20th minute. The Devils would take a 12-4 lead into the break, before they were able to seal the match with a try in a closely contested second half. We welcomed our newest BMD Premiership debutant as Jaclyn Spencer came off the bench in the 14 jersey.

It would be a tough road trip for our Hostplus Cup side, as we came up against the Norths Devils at their home on Saturday evening. We welcomed two of our newest Hostplus Cup team members with debuts of Lucas Bell and Isaiah Vailalo. Both Lucas and Isaiah joined our squad for the 2024 season and have worked hard to earn a debut this season. Dolphins Robert Jennings and Edrick Lee would continue their try scoring ways in the Hostplus Cup, both crossing in the match.
