Our Harvey Norman U17’s season overall has been amazing. We have really connected as a team and that is showing on and off the field. It is really great to see all our efforts coming together. The girls have worked really hard to fine tune their individual and team skills.
We have our final game together as a team this Saturday. A win would obviously be a great way to finish but if not, for the girls to play as a team as they did last week and enjoy one last hit out together. Finish strong.
This season, I have learnt many new things in my head coach role (First year with the U17’s) but I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls better both on and off the field. They are the best bunch of ladies and I’m honoured to coach them and be part of their Capras journey.
Unfortunately but understandingly our season is quite short and almost over. From here the girls will head to their local clubs and school teams, where they will still get to see each other around, with the only difference being that we are playing against each other at times. Confraternity Cup is also coming up in a few months and majority of the girls are playing in that competition. We are absolutely looking forward to next season and wish we had more time together in 2024.
