Our Capras Juniors make the trip down to Gladstone’s Marley Brown Oval for our Round 3 clash with the Northern Pride. A fantastic turn out in Gladstone to see our Capras Junior’s go four from four wins in all age groups. This week, we are back at Browne Park for Round 4 of QRL Junior Statewide Competitions, as we take on the Mackay Cutters. The second trip to Browne Park for the Cutters after some trial games a few weeks prior in our Juniors. It will make for a great day of footy on Saturday against our rivals, with our Harvey Norman 17’s team playing their last game for the season and will look to end on a high.

Our Hostplus Cup team took the field for their third and final trial match against the PNG Hunters. A final opportunity before Round 1 for our Hostplus Cup team to put their best foot forward. Our forward pack was bolstered by the return of Lachlan Hubner, after two quality NRL Dolphins trial matches and a preseason under super coach Wayne Bennett. Lachy (Hubner) crossed for a match double, picking up our first try from a kick and a long range try in the second half off a silky pass from prop Ilami Buli. Hooker Brandon Clarke crossed for a second half try under the sticks, taking advantage of some tired Hunters forwards. Winger Bobby Tenza showed some great speed running away for long range try towards the end of the game.
