Reef City Ford, located in the heart of Central Queensland in Gladstone, is thrilled to announce a major community investment as the naming rights supporter of the newly titled Reef City Ford Capras Community Care Program. This landmark partnership includes a $100,000 commitment over the next two years (2026 – 2027), reinforcing a long-term vision to uplift and support families and children across Central Queensland.
As a proudly local business with more than 35 years of history serving Central Queensland, Reef City Ford continues to strengthen its deep connection with the region. The new initiative will expand the reach and resources of the Capras Community Care Program across key CQ areas including Gladstone, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Biloela, Emerald, Moura, and surrounding communities.
Glen Sharp, Dealer Principal of Reef City Ford: “This is the biggest sponsorship Reef City Ford has ever undertaken, and certainly one of the most important. With the generous support of Ford Australia, we’re proud to help deliver real support for grassroots programs that make a difference in the lives of people right across Central Queensland. Giving back to the community that has supported us for decades is at the heart of this commitment”.
The Reef City Ford Capras Community Care Program is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment through support services, educational initiatives, and community engagement projects. Its mission is to empower individuals, especially children, by connecting them with tools, opportunities, and support that make a lasting impact. From mental health and wellbeing initiatives to youth development and educational support, the program is designed to serve as a bridge between local communities and the resources they need to thrive.
Capras Community Care CEO, Peter White: “This new sponsorship aligns with Ford’s broader support of Australian sport and community initiatives, including increased backing of the QRL State of Origin programs throughout the 2026 and 2027 seasons. It marks a significant step forward in both corporate social responsibility and community-first thinking“.
