Tahnee-lea Holt debuted for the Capras in 2023 and hasn’t looked back — a centre who plays with clarity, discipline, and a competitiveness forged in Rockhampton. Her career highlight is lining up alongside Tamika Upton, the standard she measures herself against and the player she most wants to emulate.
Her most memorable Capras moment came in 2024, a wet night at Rugby Park against the Burleigh Bears — the first time the BMD Capras had beaten them. It was the kind of result that means more when conditions are hard. Tahnee brings that same mentality to every week: stay disciplined, and let the habits do the talking. Her favourite piece of advice, which she lives by: a bad session doesn’t matter — a bad pattern does.
Off the field, Tahnee-lea travels whenever she can, spends her best time at the beach with her dog and partner, and is quietly building a bucket list that is, essentially, the whole of Italy. She starts game day with two crumpets with honey, a cup of OJ and a banana. DaBaby gets her going before kick-off. And her pre-game ritual? Mouth guard facing upwards inside her right leg sock.
