Josie Wogand is a Rocky Brothers product who debuted for the BMD Capras in Round 1 of 2025 — and her year didn’t stop there. Confro 2025 and a City v Country Under 17s appearance are the highlights of her career so far, with the Confro grand final standing as the most memorable game she’s been part of.
As a hooker who studies physiotherapy on the side, Josie has a particular understanding of what the body can and can’t do — and a clear view of what it takes to get to the next level. Her approach on the field is simple: be the hardest worker out there. Her favourite advice ever received? There’s always someone better — so learn from them and never settle where you are. She walks out of the tunnel last. Always.
Off the field, Josie lives at the gym and counts Tamika Upton and Tom Dearden as her sporting idols. She’ll eat a GYG burrito bowl after every game and won’t have a clue what song is playing through her headphones beforehand — she’s just not picky about music. Greece and Italy are on the bucket list. And if the footy and the physio don’t work out? She’d probably be a runner. But they will.
