Coal Australia backs Junior Capras Rugby League Development Carnival

Central Queensland’s next generation of rugby league stars will take centre stage this month at the Coal Australia Junior Capras Development Carnival, an event proudly supported by Coal Australia.

The carnival will bring together junior rugby league players from across the region, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase their skills, develop their game, and represent their communities in front of family and friends.

Capras CEO Peter White said the event is an important part of the club’s commitment to growing rugby league pathways throughout Central Queensland.

“The Coal Australia Junior Capras Junior Development Carnival is about more than just football – it’s about creating opportunities for young athletes to learn, develop, and aspire to reach higher levels of the game,” he said.

“We’re extremely grateful to Coal Australia for their wonderful support, which ensures our region’s juniors have access to the very best development programs.” “This is a wonderful opportunity for our young male and female players from under 13’s to under 16’s to test their skill levels, following their 5 RISE training sessions they attended over the past few months.”

The carnival will feature multiple age groups, with players participating in a mix of competitive games and development activities led by qualified Capras coaching staff.

The Coal Australia Junior Capras Development Carnival will be held at Kettle Park, Rockhampton on Saturday September 20.

The Coal Australia Junior Capras Development Carnival is part of the QRL Rebel Development Series where young talent from across the state get to complete in events following to completion of the national talent development program delivered by the Rockhampton Leagues Club Capras.
