About the Role
The Scoreboard Operator is responsible for operating the scoreboard and in-venue display systems at Browne Park Stadium throughout all event day fixtures. Working under the direction of the Audio & Visual Team Leader, you will keep scores, timing, and on-screen content accurate and up to date from the moment gates open until the final siren.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Setting up and testing the scoreboard display and game clock before gates open
- Loading sponsor slides and scheduled content onto the scoreboard and in-venue screens
- Operating the scoreboard clock and score display accurately throughout all fixtures, including lead-up games and the main match
- Managing sponsor content rotations on screens in accordance with the broadcast schedule
- Responding quickly and accurately to on-field events such as tries, conversions, penalties, and sin bins
- Communicating with the PA & Sound Operator and Ground Announcer throughout the event to ensure on-screen content aligns with in-venue announcements
- Executing a full shutdown of scoreboard systems at the conclusion of the event
- Reporting any technical faults or issues to the AV Team Leader immediately
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating a scoreboard or digital display system in a sporting or event environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused during fast-moving game action
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems quickly
- Knowledge of rugby league preferred — understanding the game will help you react quickly and accurately
