About the Role
The PA & Sound Operator is responsible for managing all in-venue audio systems at Browne Park Stadium on event day. Working under the direction of the Audio & Visual Team Leader, you will ensure the PA system delivers clear, high-quality sound across the venue throughout every fixture — from the pre-game build-up to the post-match wrap.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Conducting a full PA system sound check across all areas of the venue before gates open
- Operating the PA system and mixing board throughout the event, including music playback, microphone management, and crowd audio
- Managing audio levels and sound quality throughout all fixtures and activations
- Supporting the Ground Announcer with microphone setup and audio feed for all in-venue announcements and on-field interviews
- Coordinating with the game videographer to ensure live stream audio is correctly patched and balanced
- Activating the emergency PA override system in the event of an emergency as directed by the Event Manager or AV Team Leader
- Troubleshooting and resolving audio issues quickly during live event conditions
- Executing a full audio system shutdown and securing all equipment at the conclusion of the event
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience operating a PA or sound system in a live event, sporting, or entertainment venue
- Proficiency with mixing equipment, audio interfaces, and signal routing
- Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly and confidently in a live environment
- Experience working alongside announcers, presenters, or broadcast teams highly regarded
