Casual Event Day Role | Hourly rate role
About the Role
The Facility & Cleaning Team Leader keeps Browne Park Stadium safe, clean, and presentable for every patron and staff member across the full event day. You will oversee a small cleaning team, conduct regular venue patrols, respond to spills and hygiene issues as they arise, and ensure a thorough post-event clean is completed before lock-up.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Conducting a full venue walk before gate opening to confirm all public areas and amenities are clean and stocked
- Briefing cleaning staff on their assigned areas and priorities for the event
- Reporting any pre-existing facility issues, damage, or hazards to the Event Manager
- Conducting regular patrols of all public areas, concourses, bathrooms, and seating zones throughout the event
- Responding promptly to spills, waste build-up, and hygiene issues
- Managing waste collection and bin emptying across the venue
- Overseeing the full post-event clean of all areas before close
- Ensuring all staff timesheets are completed and signed off before staff are released
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cleaning or facilities management, ideally in a public venue or events environment
- Ability to supervise and coordinate a small team
- Physical fitness — this role involves a lot of walking and active work throughout the shift
- Reliable and thorough with a strong eye for cleanliness and safety hazards
